how to solve 04 warning on off grid inverter
04 warning means battery low voltage, most of time, it always appears with 20 warning ( Battery Communication Error )
Before you troubleshoot this warning, please check 21th option on LCD and observe your current battery SOC or battery voltage. Based on the algorithm, once your battery SOC ( for Lithium-ion battery ) or battery voltage has reached 21th option plus 5%, it will trigger 04 warning. In this situation, it is normal. Please check it carefully.
Lead acid Battery
Testing Method
a. If the system has connected to lead acid battery system, please test the real battery voltage via multimeter. Too low battery voltage may cause 04 warning. In this situation, you need to check your battery system.
b. If battery is normal, you can compare real battery voltage via multimeter to the battery voltage on LCD. What if LCD dispaly can’t match real battery voltage severely, it shows that voltage sampling circuit on mainboard is something wrong. In this Situation, you can replace mainboard directly
Lithium-ion Battery
Testing Method
a. Please confirm if battery brand can communicate with inverter, if yes, it may be caused by abnormal communication.So check communication between inverter and battery. Most of time,04 warning is caused by communication issue.
b. If lithium-ion battery can’t communicate with inverter, try to set US2 on 5th option, less than 30A on 2nd option. Then observe if 04 warning still occurs.
c. Above this, if 04 warning still occurs, you can compare real battery voltage via multimeter to the battery voltage on LCD. What if LCD dispaly can’t match real battery voltage severely ( Battery voltage is normal) , it shows that voltage sampling circuit on mainboard is something wrong. In this Situation, you can replace mainboard directly
