How to Test Capacitor or inductance

Testing Tool

LQ-9101 can be used to test Capacitor and Inductance,Resistance.

Please note that

1) Industrial Frequency Transformer can’t be tested via LQ-9101, which should be suitable for high frequency device.

2) LQ-9101 ONLY can test Electrolytic capacitor , other kind of capacitors can’t be tested.

LQ-9101 produce AC wave.

Capacitor Testing Method

1. Testing Parameter

100HZ 0.1v

2. Testing procedure

Select “Freq”, “Level” and “Mode” , make that testing parameters equal 100HZ, 0.1V

3. judging Method

If D value is less than 0.1, it means that capacitor is normal

Inductance Testing Method

1. Testing Parameter

10KHZ 0.1V

2. Testing procedure

Select “Freq”, “Level” and “Mode” , make that testing parameters equal 10KHZ, 0.1V

3. judging Method

If D value is less than 0.1, it means that inductance is normal. Sometimes, in the circuit, there are other components in parallel. It will affect the result. So if it is near to 0.1 like 0.11 etc. It is also normal
